NJCL Membership Contest
All states are eligible to participate and do not have to be present at the 2007 NJCL Convention in Knoxville, TN to win.
The NJCL First Vice-President will act as the Membership Contest Chair, and the Public Relations/Membership Chair and the National Committee Chair will act as advisors.

The top ten winners will be recognized at the 2007 NJCL convention and will receive awards.
Awarding of Points
Membership numbers used for calculations will be those submitted at the National Office for the 2006-2007 school year. For those items requiring documentation, please use the Supplemental Information Form.
- Growth of chapters in a state
Points = percent total chapter growth X 3 (e.g., 20 chapters last year, 30 chapters this year, 50% growth, 50 X 3 = 150 points)
- Growth of individual state membership:
Points = percent total membership growth X 2 (e.g., 1000 members last year, 1100 members this year, 10% growth, 10 X 2 = 20 points)
- Net growth of chapters within a state:
10 points per chapter above the 2005-2006 membership roles
- Net growth of members within a state:
1 point per member above the 2005-2006 membership roles
- Number of new chapters in a state:
1 point per chapter
N.B.: A new chapter is defined as a school without a JCL chapter in the past two years.
- Starting a JCL chapter in a state where no current JCL chapter exists:
80 points (Documentation required)
- Endeavors of state officers/local clubs attempting to get clubs not associated with the JCL to join:
80 points maximum (Documentation required)
N.B.: Points awarded both subjectively and quantitatively. Each event may receive up to 20 points. Maximum points counted toward contest remains at 80.
