NATIONAL CLASSICS WEEK

APRIL 15 - APRIL 21, 2025

National Classics Week (NCW) is the National Junior Classical League’s annual celebration of ancient civilizations and their impact on modern society. During this week of celebrations, we invite students across the globe to participate in service and publicity projects, having fun and sharing festive activities, giving back to their communities, and promoting the study of Classical Antiquity all at once! To commemorate the founding of Rome, this year’s National Classics Week will begin on Tuesday, April 15th, and conclude on Monday, April 21st. The National Classics Week 2025 theme is: “These are a few of our favorite things…,” and will be celebrating our favorite traditions of the Junior Classical League and aspects of learning about the Ancient Classical World. In the National Classics Week Packet below, each day’s theme highlights a part of the JCL, National Convention, or Classics courses at school that we love and includes social media post and activity ideas as well as topics to research to honor and celebrate these traditions! Please note that this packet includes suggestions for friends and clubs to celebrate, but we also encourage you to use your creativity to make your own specific celebrations and activities! We would love to see how you participate- please tag us or use #NCW25 on social media to share your celebrations and JCL spirit! We hope you enjoy celebrating with us in National Classics Week 2025!
